“Find a stone, place it somewhere, anywhere; make it your personal ‘One Square Inch of Silence’.” — Gordon Hempton

The Library by soundpocket’s new feature story “Recording as a way to understand ecology; listening to silence as a practice of conservation” has been released.

In response, we start the campaign “A piece of stone”. We invite you to pick up a stone, place it anywhere, and spare yourself five minutes to listen to silence. Record your thoughts and feelings while and after listening, in any such form or way as photography, texts, recordings or pictures, etc.

You can participate in this campaign NOW to 30th April by sharing on this Facebook event page or sending an email to liza@soundpocket.org.hk directly!

All materials collected will be uploaded to The Library by soundpocket’s website.
